Overlay text bar, text color
Hello,
Since the last update the text of the message seems to be yellow color on a white background. (before it was black color)
Is there any way to change this?
Thanks,

Your image doesn't do much to help your case.
Anyway... have you even THOUGHT about changing the colors in the plugin settings? I mean, really, this should be the very first place you look to.

I am also having issues with the message bars coming across the top of the screen, but being blank. just like the screen cap in depil's post above. i have looked for a text color to change, but yet i don't see that option in the overlay settings. now i do however see that when someone changes channels or leaves the message pops up and i can see it.
thanks for listening

You can change the color under the plugin settings.
Open the TS3 client and go into Settings > Plugins > DirectX overlay plugin > Now select Colors---------------------------------------------------------

This is still on developers todo, to add the chat text on the top of the screen.
This feature will be added in the next release.
A workaround (no guaranteethat it works):
Jump into your appdata folder "C:\Users\yourusernamehere\AppData\Roaming\ts3overlay" and open the config_user.ini
Add these lines on the top (when no [default] entry exists in your file)
Code:[default] overlay.display.backgroundcolor 80000000

this is what orignal was standing in the file under [default]
if i made a new part with [default] it messed up all of the overlay so i changed in the text under here.
i changed the "overlay.display.backgroundcolor=FF000000" part with FFFE0202. (wich is red so im sure i can see differents) but i couldnt see anychangesCode:[default] overlay.initialization.xpos=1035 overlay.display.fontfile=dejavusans.ttf overlay.logo.xpos=0 overlay.display.fontcolor.muted=FFFE0202 overlay.popup.show_server_messages=false overlay.display.fontcolor.talking=FF28D11C overlay.popup.fontsize=9 overlay.display.fontsize=9 overlay.display.backgroundcolor=FF000000 overlay.display.titlebar.opacity=80 overlay.initialization.ypos=210 overlay.initialization.mode=normal overlay.logo.ypos=0 overlay.logo.alpha.min=0 overlay.logo.alpha.max=0 overlay.display.window.opacity=15 overlay.initialization.height=230 overlay.display.scrollbar.opacity=0 overlay.popup.show_chat_messages=true overlay.popup.show_channel_messages=true overlay.display.fontcolor.whispering=FF2EE8F8 overlay.display.fontcolor.channel=FF000000 overlay.display.fontcolor.dragging=FF000000 overlay.display.fontcolor.silent=FF968A00
the background and text font where still white. i reloaded both TS as WoW.
anyother ideas i can possibly change???
by the way Dante, thanks alot for helping me out. I really appreciate

Ah I was having that issue with the 3.0.3 update as I am not sure if its the background color or not its more of a color selection that needs to be added for notifications. Like if you in game and hit the scroll lock key then right click on the TS overlay and select configure you can change the colors you will see Display notifications which is where I think a color selection option needs to be added.
----------------------------------merged]----------------------------------
I think this is what your looking for to be added in the actual user interface instead of just being hidden in the config file >>
overlay.popup.fontcolor = FF000000 thats for the pop bar at the top like when you get messages from someone or letting you know who joined the server while in game :P
----------------------------------merged]----------------------------------
Hi , actually that was not the color issue i was referring too as I added info in that thread for that about the bar its the >> overlay.popup.fontcolor = FF000000 thats not there on screen for you to change but you can do it in the config file where you said it was located.
The other issue I am having is while in a game you see your overlay on the screen. Ok say there are 4 people in your room and the silent color is green and the talk color is red. Since the last 2 updates when anyone goes to talk it doesn't change color on screen to show who is talking in the channel.
