To edit the configuration you need to locate and edit the now_playing_plugin.ini. Under a default install of TeamSpeak3 this configuration file can be found at “%appdata%\TS3Client\now_playing_plugin.ini” after the plug-in has started once. Plug-in will not load new settings until disabled and re-enabled or next time TeamSpeak is loaded.
Configuration file settings:
- Setting (default value) <min-max range> description.
- enable_applitions (1) <0-1> 0 = do nothing, 1 = show your current song behind "Applications" in your info field
- applications ({title}) Format to show in right pane next to Now Playing:
- auto_channel_message (0) <0-1> 0 = do nothing, 1 = every time you change your current song, a new "channel_message" gets written to your current channels
- bound_to_unique_id ()nothing = not used, 28 char unique id = only on servers where this unique id is used is auto_channel_message processed if enabled.
- channel_message (I’m listening to {title}) Message format that is used for channel message when new songs play.
- Refresh_rate_milliseconds (1000) <500-2000> Defines how often in milliseconds to query the media player for current playing song.

Assuming this is the correct spot to ask for support involving your plugin. I am having issues. Iv been putting off using this plugin for some time. Figured id give it a try now.
I run a music bot using the TS3 plugin. I uses VLC. The hope is to get your plugin to announce when VLC starts to post the name of the song into the channel. As i think it is designed.
Iv followed the howto and edited the config. opened and saved with Notepad++.
Config is as follows:
[config]
channel_message=Boby's Music Bot is now playing {title}.
applications={title}
bound_to_unique_id=
enable_applications=0
auto_channel_message=0
refresh_rate_milliseconds=1000
Clearly nothing from the usual but disable applications and the channel message.
It does announce to channel when typing /nowplaying foo But i thought it auto announced. Thanks.

Needs to have "auto_channel_message=1" to auto announce (spam) the channel.
But why would you want to disable the "enable_applications"? That is useful if someone that also has the plugin joins the channel while a song is playing, they can select the bot and see the name of the current song in the profile pane.

Please add a Support for Spider Player too.
http://www.spider-player.com
I use the PRO Version of that to hear my Music and it would be great to show it in TS.

Yes, and for the current pre-release changelog
I have some issues with this build hanging my client, until that is fixed, this should be considered a beta build if you want to test the new player support.Code:=== Plugin Release 0.15.2032 01 FEB 2012 - Adjusted Google Detection to remove false positive while in the Market looking at songs. - Fixed that when you move to a channel you were not subscribed it is not requesting current songs from those in the channel. + Spotify support. * Increased the timeout at unload to give slower computers a chance to finish without crashing the client. (Maybe fix the “Reksh Error”) + Spider Player support. ! Added new player scanning options to INI file. By default all are enabled except Google Music. Decided to not enable Google by default because it uses a lot of scanning time looking through browser windows and only used in US (See readme.txt for more info)

Add itunes support?

*shutters* at the thought of using iTunes.
Maybe when I'm done with everything else and if I find someone that will let me use team-viewer to gather the needed player info so that I don't have to install that abomination on my PC.

When I want to open the file it says: Package installer don't work anymore.
What should I do?
Maybe you can give me the plugin in a zip file?
Regards,
Henk

Could you add support for WMP?
-
28-02-2012, 22:31 #15
Henkrnk, need to get the package installer working. What is the error it give, is it just a missing file association?
Maxe, No plans to support WMP. Microsoft locked it down so that I would have to write a plugin for WMP to export the data for my plugin to import. I'm not planning on writing a plugin to support a plugin... Not right now with all my other projects right now.
I know there is a guy with a plugin for WMP to support updating a website or blog. Glancing at it's page and info it may support exporting to an XML file that now_playing could be updated to read, but that plugin was not free and I don't have any spare money so I'm not buying it.
Also, I looked at iTunes at a friend's place... Not sure that will be added, the class names they use are so generic that trying to determine which one is artist and song title will be cumbersome. I've asked him to review it more and see if he can find a usable pattern, he is inclined to as he wants iTunes support too, but no word that he has and its been over a week now.
