[Request] Notification when user joins a specific channel

I'll get right to the point.

I would like to be able to idle in the channel "Training & Recruitment", and receive a notification of some sort whenever a user joins the channel "Pending T&R".

Is this possible? If so, how do I set it up?

Hello

I see this channel issubscribed. So by default the client recieve a text notification.
If you want something like a sound or poke notification, you have to use a plugin/script.

I don't remember if a such plugin exists.
Take a look at the addons website : http://addons.teamspeak.com

You could create your own using the LUA script (some exemples on this forum and on your client folder)

I created the plugin for you. However, I won't be supporting it past this point in creation. I've added the plugin and source code as an attachment to the thread. As of right now this works on Win32 and Win64 on API 16.

This plugin detects anytime any user (other than yourself) enters the Pending T&R channel. When someone does enter the channel it plays an audio file to let you know someone has entered. This file is located in your teamspeak folder under {Your Teamspeak 3 Installation}/sound/Todd794.wav It's currently a copy of the poke wave "Hey! Wake up!" You can change the sound it plays by replacing Todd794.wav with any wav file you wish. But make sure it too is named Todd974.wav

The plugin is extremely specific towards the user so without putting extra time to allow customization it's not very usable for anyone other than the requester. So feel free to mess with the code if anyone wants their own custom version of this.

It comes with an auto-installer if you run the Todd794.t3_plugin file after unzipping the file. Hope this helps you a bit. Have fun!
