Port in use when it is not...

My TS server is saying that it cannot create a server because the next available port is in use. I have checked using the TS3 Admin tool, the port does not exist, I have even dumped the DB, but the port is not listed. However when I do a netstat -ano it clearly shows the port is in use by the ts3 server process... What gives? It is only this port too. I have restarted the service many times, I can find no log of this server, I have verified all the logs for each server running.

    Hello

Since your migration I'm afraid that your database is not very "clean".

To be sure, do you mean you have all other ports (for each virtual server) in the "server" table but not this specific port ?

Maybe he does use an VPS and a shared IP. So maybe another user does use the port.

My guess is theres an orphan process running.

Have you tried killing all ts3 processes in task manager?
Have you tried rebooting the server?

If yes to both above, what version of windows is it? what roles have you installed?
    What is your firewall configuration?

It is a VPS, and there is only a single IP assigned to me. The DB is clean (stock teamspeak DB, never manually edited in anyway), I dumped the DB to SQL so I could see the list of servers myself without a 3rd party tool. If there was a rogue T3 process running, wouldn't all servers fail? It is just 1 port. And the netstat -ano shows the main teamspeak process is using the bad port, there is only 1 ts process running. I have never in my life heard of a shared IP for virtual servers... that would be a horrible idea... And no the IP is dedicated to me.

Server 2008 R2 x64 Edition, IIS is only installed (1 site running on port 80 and 443). Firewall is disabled currently to find the cause of this. If I restart TS, it shows nothing on 2011, after some time though I check again, and port 2011 is being used again. If I try and connect to 2011 through my TS client it says failed to connect.

Could you use a tool like whireshark to check all traffic on this port (udp/tcp who and where).
