Teamspeak 3 quit working, setup not the same now either
I have used teamspeak 3 for over a month, made my own server for my pc at home and logged in just fine every time. I had some internet issues with being kicked offline and i think they fixed the problem but i noticed the next day that when i ran the client i can no longer log into the server. it just sits there now and says cant connect. I decided to try and rerun the setup, but following the tutorial where you enter your data, it shows a space where you put in the port, i remember doing it the first time, now the setup has no field to enter the port. I watched a youtube video of someone installing it and the port is right there on the setup window, 4 boxes total on that page, i get 3 now. What happened and how to i redo it to get it working again?

Hello
There seems you has use an old version along time.
There is no port field since several version (just wirte <address>:<port>)
About you connection problem,
Are you 100% sure that your server is started ?
Do you check your firewall ?
Do you check your client log ?
Etc
It's hard to help you without so little informations...

So whats wrong with server?
Well when you tried it, it wasnt running, its on my pc, has been for over a month, worked great everyday, then last week it was on but client cant log in anymore, the icon is in the corner like always and it says its on but will no longer log in, i didnt change anything on pc. What file can i check as what appears to be the serverlog is mostly blank. I have reinstalled it more than once, same thing each time.

So do you try to conect with the loopback address : write 127.0.0.1 in the address field
(the port in this case is useless because this is the default port 9987)

127.0.0.1 logs me in
This connects fine, however this is not the wan ip address given by my server, nobody including me can connect with my server. However when i put in 128.0.0.1 it connects. Whats going on then?

It was just to be sure that there is no problem in local.
Make a point:
Do you check the forwarded port on your router ?
Do you check your windows firewall ?
You external IP is dynamic or static ?
With a right click on the server icon (taskbar) check if the serv get the good wan ip (external IP).

Settings
Problem fixed. When a tech worked on my connection recently he must have changed my ip settings from outside. The numbers i used all this time are no longer what i have, i noticed i was 1 number off, edited it and back online. Not sure why it was changed. Thanks for the help.
