User can't connect after new router
Hello, basics is as such. I skeap very little german as such have problems with technical aspects when dealing in such.
For years I have ran my TS server on my windoiws XP 32 bit system with no problems. Originally each time I logged into the internet from computer restart I had to do so manually and this worked fine.
However two days ago T-Online took our old DSL routers and replaced them with new ones series "Speedport W 723V Typ B" router box.
When this happened it created its own connection using a navidia driver and locked out my manual connection. So now, when the computer is turned on it automatically starts the internet connection.
Since this has occured my TS3 server has been unreachable even if I use the client on the same computer.
I have tried even running IPCONFIG but is quickly flashes something up on the screen in a DOS window style and then it is gone.
I had also been using a program called "Server Checker ver. 3.03" to keep tabs of the TS3 exe file when the IP changes backed up with "DYNDNS IP Updater" program since they regularly change the IPs here up to 3 times in a 24 hour period. But now it just keeps cloneing the server over and over.
So typical address for the TS3 server would be avalean.dyndns.org:9887
This is using Client version 3.0.5 QT Version 4.7.2
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated
I do have a SKYPE connection account under the name of barongalwin location Germany feel free to contact me there if I am online.

1. Your thread title says nothing yout your topic! < changed it
2. Please use cmd and then enter ipconfig into that command window.
2.1 You will get your LAN IP
2.2 Go into your router settings and Port foward your Lan IP to port 9987 UDP
3. Update your DNs, because it guides me to an outdated IP---------------------------------------------------------
Please don't send me private messages with support questions as long I or someone else from Teamspeak Staff asked for it.

Hello.
As complement to Dante's point 3:
The router has Dynamic DNS management, this is much better than using the program "Server Checker".
In the manual:
http://www.telekom.de/dlp/eki/downlo...nd_12.2010.pdf
in page 124 (printed number of page) you'll find the form to be filled and the router itself will update the dyndns account automatically and you won't need the "Server checker" software.
Greetings.

ok got that done for some reason probably my own ignorance had to create a new server for it to work, I have all the old server data stored as back up if needed.
So, can now log into the server via my second computer on a different dsl phone line, but for some reason I am unable to get the client on the server host computer to log into the server, simply says "Failed to connect to server".
I have also password protected the server and reconfirmed the password but still no connection.
I have tried it with and with out password protection still the same. Since it is on the host computer do I need to do something different so it recognizes the server maybe? I am really sorry for these problems due to ignorance but either I am blind and find it no where in the postings for this problem, maybe am looking in the wrong place, or perhaps simply do not recognize it when I do see it.
