Teamspeak 3 Client unresponsive after trying to connect
Hello,
Today I was on my clan's server and everything was normal. I had to restart my computer and now I can't connect to any server apart from the Public Teamspeak one. Whenever I click to connect to my server or any other for that matter I get: "Trying to resolve hostname (name of server)". and then under it: "Trying to connect to server on (name of server)" and nothing happens. The client then freezes and I can't click on anything or even minimize or even right click the system tray icon. The only way I can get out of it is by bringing up my processes tab and ending the process from there.
This happened a few days ago as well but I restarted my computer and it worked fine again. However in this instance restarting does nothing and I still have the same problem each time I try to connect.
Please help. This is rather annoying.
Thanks

Here is a screenshot of what happens when I try to connect. It looks normal but it just sits like this until I end the Process in Task ManagerLast edited by florian_fr40; 27-03-2012 at 07:54.

What do you mean? As in typing the address instead of using my bookmarks?

Hello.
You have to get the ip address related with the dns of your server and then try to connect, from a new bookmarks entry for exemple, using this IP instead of the dns.
In your case,
dns --> austs1.gameservers.com
IP --> 173.199.80.222
Then try to connect 173.199.80.222:9137
If the issue persists, then take a look into the Client log of your TS3 client:
Tools --> Client log
I've tried to connect to the server with the dns and has been successful, with this log:

OK. I downloaded this program called JuffEd and now i can connect to TS. I don't know if that's why I can now. But my sound wasn't working properly. I could hear people and talk to them, but I couldn't hear TS notifications like "You have switched to channel", etc etc. Then I went into options and did the playback sound test and I could hear everything fine. Just today I cant hear anything any more. I can still hear and talk to people but I have no notification sounds any more. Doing what I did last time doest help either. This is really annoying.

I'm pretty sure that the program I downloaded has nothing to do with anything but I saw that someone downloaded it in another thread and it helped them with something so I thought I would at least try it outLast edited by florian_fr40; 01-04-2012 at 22:29.

Hello.
Now you have to select the sound pack from the bookmarks. Details in this thread:

I know about the bookmarks thing. I've already tried everything in that thread but I can't hear anything. Even when I have it set as default soundpack. Also when I join the server there is some writing in red in the chat box area that says the icon for member cannot be found.

Hello.
Then, if you already have selected the sound pack in the bookmarks and once you have connected to your server:
a) verify in Self --> Sound Pack --> Appears the sound pack with the mark of selected.
b) verify in Settings --> Options --> Playback --> The "Sound Pack" slider is not on the "quiet" position, for the Playback profile you use.
c) verify in Settings --> Options --> Notifications --> For the sound pack you use, the sounds you want are selected (check box marked)
Greetings.
