The overlay also stopped working for me after the last update, however I do not get an error, the overlay simply do not appear in game no matter what I try.
I tried re-installing TS and de-activating and re-activating the plugin, no change.
I have an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, ATI Radeon HD5850 graphic card and using Windows XP SP3.
Looks like a similar problem with Bubbachuk but different than the OP.

Add me to the list. It was working fine and I was able to use it with World of Tanks. My entire clan lost the ability to use the TS3 overlay as well so this may not be a machine specific incident. I uninstalled completely and tried everything I could think of but no luck.
I have an AMD Athlon 7750 dual core, Nvidia 8800 GTS on Win 7 Pro 64bit

i cleaned out my overlay and ran MarkR's file and still got the error has to be something written in the the ts3overlay_hook_win32.dll just not sure what it could be and since someone with an intel processor has come forward it can't be just directed to the AMD Athlon. If there is any information you can think of that you might need or something you want me to try please feel free to let me know and I will get to it right away.

The computer I'm having problems with a has Pentium4 HT 3.00 ghz CPU.To both computers have an Athlon XP CPU? Is the error the same with the update I posted above?
I stated earlier that it had Win XP Home Edition . . . It's actually Win XP Professional.
The computer the overlay is working on has an AMD Athlon 64 CPU.Last edited by Bubbachuk; 27-04-2012 at 22:55.

I have an Intel CPU E6420 7800GT GPU Same as you Overlay worked (displayed)on previous versions, but not without issues, such as more or less constantly using 20-30% of CPU this caused lag like freezing effects during playing R6 vegas 2 , another old game act of war would just crash when run unless i disabled the overlay first,
The other thing because of the lag effects it causes (using the cpu) i started using another overlay plugin Playclaw, trial version, this worked fine ,but since this latest version it no loner will show who is speaking or anything ts related the API is 16 , other aspects of playclaw work fine, just no output from ts it would seem,

um not sure but this seems more like an OS issue more then it does a hardware issue, currently i am taking another HD and installing Win 7 ultimate 32 on my little machine that had Win XP on it and was having the error and crashing as soon as i get everything loaded I will let ya know more but for right now it seems like there is a missing dll or not up to date file thats causing the problems for us.. anyway will report back after this is done.

The overlay that comes with the TS3 client is not working for me and I get the error c000001d even after upgrading to Win 7 ultimate 32 bit not sure but does the ts3overlay_hook_win32.dll call to SSE2 instructions if thats the case then either they could make a change in the dll file or I have to upgrade my hardware or there is no fix cause there is no emu for SSE2 instructions for a work around. Also I looked at the other guys processors Selenim - Intel Core 2 Duo, demonr6 - AMD Athlon 7750 Dual Core, and Bubbachuk - Pentium4 HT 3.00 ghz CPU all of those processors support SSE2 instructions yet they are getting the same error so I am not sure what it could be calling to that we are missing.

Hey I went to look for the log file of the overlay but there was none so I am guessing cause of the error c000001d its not loading to make a log file. And just curious if this error is related to the sse2 instruction set cause for an overlay which basically works off of direct x I don't see why it would even need that since it worked before the rewrite of the overlay << before that dll was added.

I think, we have a couple of different issues here mixed in one thread.
Exotine and AxxO89 have the c000001d error, which seems to be an SSE2 problem. There's a new version (not finally released, but publicly available) under http://ts3overlay.r-dev.de/download/...260.ts3_plugin
Selenim and Bubbachuk don't have an error message, but the overlay isn't showing up. This could be due a different behavior of Windows XP and should be fixed with v3.4.15: http://ts3overlay.r-dev.de/download/....15.ts3_plugin
Dunari doesn't describe whether he gets an error message or not, but he/she also uses XP, so he/she should try the v3.4.15-2-g8a98260.
tommy45 doesn't tell about the OS, but I'm quite sure he uses XP, so he also should upgrade the overlay to at least v3.4.15.
demonr6 seems to have a different problem, he's using Win7 64bit, so he surely does neither have an SSE2 problem nor a problem with XP. I'm still into that.

This problem /could/ also be fixed with version 3.4.15 (it was a DLL relocation problem), as a consequence, the hook didn't correctly get the port to connect to the overlay plugin. The effect is exactly what I found in demonr6's logs. I never experienced that problem under Win7, but it might be worth a try.

I think there is still something in that dll that is calling to SSE2 still getting an error with that one as well.

Sadly some of us are still getting the c000001d error. After doing some testing I don't think the problem is so much in the ts2overlay_hook_win32.dll as it may be in the installHook.exe having SSE2 instructions. Waiting to see what the Dev of the Overlay has to say at the moment.
