Normally, when Power is higher to Needed Power, then is possible.
Greyed out, value=0

in permissiondoc.txt its said
It would be better to set "needed_power" values then to give negative "power" values - unless its needed, like for join_power.... and if a permission is not set it is assumed to be zero

in the case of join power we also use negative values for some groups because the default value thats set if you create a chan is automatically above zero and so higher. you dont have to change every chan if you dont want guests in it.It would be better to set "needed_power" values then to give negative "power" values - unless its needed, like for join_power.
but why should this be avoided in general?Last edited by Kiste_Becks; 06-04-2012 at 20:46.
