    Using TS for music

I want to use Teamspeak for a small local radio station to do remote broadcasts. The audio quality for voice is ok but it doesn't look like it will work well enough to carry music. The audio is too compressed. Are there any settings in TS with high enough quailty for music? If not, does anyone have any suggestions for a free or almost free (we are on a low budget) solution for an ip link back to the studio thats robust enough to carry live music?

    Hello.

Have you tried the Celt Codec:

If you continue having trouble an alternate solution would be VLC or IceCast. Both are actually designed to accomplish the task you are describing. Good luck!

I tried Celt, its a little better but no where near good enough, even for AM radio. VLC and Icecast look like they are intended for broadcasting to many users online. I just want a point to point connection back to the studio so the program can go on the air from there. Plan B anyone?

Both VLC and IceCast will work for what you need. I think IceCast is the only one of the two that supports password protection though.
