Question server ports and clients ports

    hi all
In advance, sorry for my english. This is my first post.
I recently installed the TS Server in my PC in order to play with friends. I open the port 9987 in my router.
The problem is that no one can connect to my TS Server. I gave my ip and password but no one was able to enter.
    So the questions are:
1.- How can i change the server port to another (example: 32417)
2.- Must the others (friends) open the same port (9987 or whatever)

    Thanks in advance for answering.

Most of the times changing the port won't change anything. If your friends can't connect on 9987 they probably also will not be able to connect to 32417.
Did you open 9987 TCP or 9987 UDP? Teamspeak uses UDP not TCP for voice communication.
Did you hand out your WAN IP or your local IP? Your friends need your WAN IP.
Additionally to "opening" the port you need to forward the port from your router to your PC.

I don't understand. My friends got my internet IP not my local. Internet IP = WAN IP? (Local IP is 192.168.xxxxxx, internet adress starts with 88.xxxxx). I think i did it right.

I think i did it right as well. I mean, I open the port number 9987 and asign it to local IP 193.168.xxxx

    Many thanks

Is a local firewall installed on your pc? It might also block the incoming pakets! You might want to check this, too.
