Teamspeak does not detect oss

Hello,

My teamspeak does not detect my oss4 audio. If I go to Settings > Playback I can only choose between "Automatically use best mode" and ALSA. If I click "Play Test Sound" I obviously hear nothing.

My OS is debian squeeze with all the latest updates. I am using the latest Teamspeak 3 version (64 bit). In other applications (browser, music player, movie player) audio works just fine.

One thing I noted is that I couldn't find a backend for oss in the appropriate directory:

arjen@debian:~$ ls TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_amd64/soundbackends/
libalsa_linux_amd64.so  libpulseaudio_linux_amd64.so

Did anyone encounter the same problem? Or could someone point me in the right direction as for how to solve this problem. Thanks in advance

Sadly, there is no OSS support. I think I asked about it maybe a year ago, but there was no response. One of the only things you can do for now is setup pulseaudio just for TS or figure out how to get salsa to install without breaking your system.
