TeamSpeak 3 Package Installer doesnt work

    Hello,

    the package installer doesnt work.
I have deinstalled all "microsoft visual c++ 2008 redistributable" applications.
Then I installed the "microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)" and the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)"

But it doesnt work. I have Win 7 32 bit.

    errormodulname: MSVCR90.dll
    errormodulversion: 9.0.30729.4940

Installed on my system is only 9.0.21022 and 9.0.30729.

How can i fix that? Im not finding this version and the Package doesnt fix it.

    Hello.

In W7 and Vista, the package installer uses to run well if you assign to the program package_inst.exe the windows property "Run as admin". This exe is located in the same directory as the ts3 client exe.

    Greetings.

oO? Usually it works just fine without Admin Permissions!
And as a general Rule: Never run anything with Admin Rights if it works fine without

I have Version 9.00.30729.6161 of msvcr90.dll and the package installer is working fine. (Win 7 64bit)

    Hello.

I've tried to say that with W7 and Vista if you have errors using the package installer, try first with this property.

    Greetings.

The required C++ runtime installer is included in the TeamSpeak installer package. If you open TeamSpeak3-Client-win32-3.0.6.exe with e.g. 7-zip, you will find the redistributable inside $COMMONFILES\$[53]\$PLUGINSDIR\vcredist_x86.exe.
    Extract vcredist_x86.exe and run it.

Generally, the package_inst.exe should not be using any different C++ runtime lib than the other TeamSpeak executables, as they are all built with the same Qt library on the same computer.

As said above, we wonder, that the package installer does not work, but the client does.
Is there maybe a second installation of your client? and maybe there are some dll files missing?

I talked to PeterS and the only way to solve it maybe is Post #6 and we have no idea left how you can solve this :-(

It seems that a system component was removed, during the uninstall.
