Microphone disabled »Ubuntu 12.04 x64«
Hi,
i'm running TeamSpeak 3 3.0.6 64-Bit on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-Bit.
My microphone is disabled. I'm not able to enable it.
The microphone works in testing mode (Setting --> Options --> Capture --> Begin Test)!
I got this error message in the log:
On Ubuntu 11.10 everything worked well..Code:2012-04-28 17:39:06.638015|INFO |ClientUI | 1| Connect status: Connection established QFSFileEngine::open: No file name specified QFSFileEngine::open: No file name specified QFSFileEngine::open: No file name specified 2012-04-28 17:39:12.958352|INFO | | | deleting 0x2af7b20 2012-04-28 17:39:12.958452|INFO | | | deleting 0x28bf270 warning: Unknown nb_ctl request: 12 warning: The VAD has been replaced by a hack pending a complete rewrite 2012-04-28 17:39:27.226781|DEBUG |PulseAudio | | Opening echo stream alsa_output.pci-0000_00_10.1.analog-stereo 2012-04-28 17:39:28.060122|INFO |CapSoundSet | | Could not reactivate capture device after VAD voice test: 1799
BTW: On my netbook, also Ubuntu 12.04 x64 and newest TeamSpeak 3 3.0.6, everything works fine..

I've noticed, that on every other TeamSpeak3 server i'm able to speak.
So I checked the version of my server, it was 3.0.3. So i've updated to 3.0.5 (server running on Linux x64). Same here, my mic is disabled. I thought there could be a problem with my server configuration. So i completly wiped the old TS3 server and set up a new one. But the problem still remains! What the heck?
- My friends are able to speak on my TeamSpeak3 server.
- I'm able to speak, when I boot Ubuntu with a live CD and run TS3 (same ID).
- I'm able to speak when I connect to my server from my netbook (also same ID).
- I'm not able to speak with my desktop PC on my server with my ID or other IDs.
- I'm able to speak on other servers running 3.0.5 or 3.0.3.
- I'm able to speak with emulated TS3 (wine) and my ID.
I don't get it..

Solution
Okay.. I found a directory on my desktop PC.
/home/USER/.ts3client
I wiped the directory and now everything works perfect!

Deleting hasn't helped me...
The only temporary solution I found is the following - I have to manually select profiles in a "Self" menu
that's wierd,,,
