TeamSpeak 3 Overlay plugin 3.4.12 Causing major issues
At first after updating the TS3 client to the latest version 3.0.6 (20/04/2012 10:14:18) I noticed that my playclaw 3 overlay was no longer showing anything from ts3 such as who was talking or who joined my ts server or left it, the API version in playclaw was up to date API 16 , i then tried the ts3 overlay that is shipped with ts3,
The result was no overlay at all, and it was causing the game to slow and pause, Both playclaw and the ts3 overlay had both worked displayed properly in games, I started using plawclaw due to how the ts3 overlay would cause ts3 client to hog the cpu , plus it cause the old game Act of war to crash on loading every time, if the ts3 overlay plugin was active
Yesterday after rebooting my pc and trying the ts3 overlay again, which still did not work at all, i noticed that when i started playclaw windows xp became unresponsive apart from alt-ctl-del fortunately, the ts3 intal hook process was not running but until after a reboot the conflict was apparent each time i started playclaw even with the playclaw pluggin disabled,
Until after a further re boot, playclaw worked apart from ts section of it, without locking up windows until i enable ts3 overlay plug in again ,
Please release a fix for this soon or alternatively the older version so we can roll back the client until next release as a workaround solution

What game are you using to test the overlay?
And maybe try overlay version v3.4.14... maybe this version works for you.
Please give it a try

Thank's for the download to try, but it made no difference the ts overlay still does not show in the game which it did prior to this update of the client, also if i also run playclaw at the same time it causes the system to lock partially but only on XPSP3 win7 sp1 no problems, this issue of xp once the teamspeak overlay is activated i cannot use playclaw even with ts3 client not running until after i restart my pc,
So until this is solved i want to roll back to the version prior to this, can this be done without loosing all the settings ect, installed over the latest version or can the older version of the ts overlay that used api version 15 be installed to this broken client/overlay

The game it worked with until this version is Tom Clancy's rainbow six vegas2 , it has never worked with act of war high treason, the game will not even run if the overlay is loaded , this i think is not an issue with game as far as the R6Vegas 2 is concerned, as it will display in game if i use win7 sp1, but it does not work fully, you cannot move the position of the overlay or change fonts /colours etc
When using Win XP SP3 I will not display at all, it causes the game to run slowly(slow motion effects) this is caused by excessive CPU polling by the ts3 client whilst the ts overlay is running if i also use another overlay app Playclaw whilst using the ts3 overlay to monitor my gpu temp, parts of windows o/s freeze up or fail to work giving error messages, this will still occur even it the ts overlay is disabled and it's hook.dll process is terminated until i reboot the PC due to the fact it must fail to unload from memory, and looking at the processes with task man, i see explorer.exe acting strangely using 45% cpu and lots of ram, if i kill the explorer process, and then restart it the problem of a partially locked pc is gone, but i am them missing the ts3 server icon as a result of killing the windows explorer processLast edited by tommy45; 12-05-2012 at 19:50.

For you Windows7 Problem: It could be, that you have to set a new hotkey for the overlay.
You can do that under Settings > Plugins > double click the "TeamSpeak 3 Overlay plugin". Now switch to the Input Tab.
For you WindowsXP Problem: There is a newer test version for that plugin. could you test that version please?

Quick Update :
Downloaded the ts3_overlay-v3.4.15.ts3_plugin and installed it ,the overlay now displays as it should and used to do before it was broken, and no partial locking of win xp sp3 when running playclaw , so far so good, but will test more extensively over the comming days and report my findings back to you , but it's looking good
