Protecting Server Admin account or group?

I was trying to set my server up so that nobody is ever able to fuck with the Server Admin group(someone accidentally deleted it tonight and after that nobody could do jack shit on the server)..
What I tried after a fresh installation(linux 3.0.3) was to first use the priv key from logfile myself, then create a new Server Admin group that the regular admins will be in(only myself in the default Server Admin group with level 75 permissions).. I created the new admin group, on basic permissions window I checked all the boxes, set it to "This group will be set as: Server Admin" and hit apply.. After that I clicked to advanced permissions and lowered everything from 75 to 70..
the idea being that me in the default serveradmin group with 75 permissions can never be touched by the other admins in the 70 level group...
This didnt work however.. The admins were able to create server groups and permanent channels, but were not able to change any permissions for them..
Even if a newly made channel had Permissions/Regular needed powers/Modify: 0 and their server admin group had Channel/Modify/Channel Modify Power set to 70...
How does that work? needed=0 granted 70 but still they couldnt modify the channel after creating it?
In my universe, 70 is higher than 0....

All the Grant Values should be set to at most 70 (If you want your Admins to change that value) or rather as high as you want the admins to be able to set this permission (still not higher than 70 though)..
Values should be 70 or lower depending on the Permission on your setup / needs.
Exception: i_group_needed_modify_power this needs to have a value of 75 so only ServerAdmins can edit the group (so the admins cannot just grant themselves more permissions) with a grant value of at most 70.

To be able to edit Channels and Channel Permissions they need enough channel_modify_power and the appropriate b_channel_modify_* Permissions. For Channel Permissions channel_permission_modify_power needs to be high enough.

Not sure what you did so far or whats going wrong for you, would need to take a closer look on your Setup.

I said exactly what I did..
    New installation
Made a new group set as Server Admin, checked ALL the boxes in the basic permissions, applied, went to advanced and changed all values that were set to 75 to 70..
Added admin users to that group, and they can make channels/server groups but werent able to change permissions on those groups.. Even though the default is Modify: 0
