Permanent noise after I unplug the microphone
Hello everyone,
TS works fine so far. The only problem is, after unplugging the microphone there is a permanent static noise on the channel wich disturbes my TS friends.
Any ideas where this permanent noise comes from? Right now it only helps to plugin the microphone back. But keeping it plugged is no solution for me

Hello there, yes it does, but is not really an option... it was possible to plug of the micro w/o any noise and now I have that. I wonder if its TS related or if its WIN7/ulitmate 64bit related

I can imagine, that the default device does change under windows and maybe this input device does send that noise.
Or the port, where you pllug in your microphone is broken? < If that noise does sound electronicLast edited by dante696; 10-05-2012 at 07:30.

Does not mean, that you would have a general problem, but it could be, that your input is broken somehow. This can happen

And have you checked what recording device is selected under windows, when you unplug the the headset?---------------------------------------------------------

Damn, I guess I found the error. I am using an USB Audio Stick in parallel (Multimedia Center PC) and the Microphone Audio In of that stick took over TS since I only defined "standard" in the record settings for the microphone. Now I am using the Front Audio and it seems to be ok when plugging off - doing so results in "microphone offline" since the USB Stick does not interfere any more.
Hooray... thanks for helping me to brainstorm!
