Question about mine TS servers..
hi,
I am registered hoster for teamspeak 3 servers... but i discovered some problems on 1 of our teamspeak servers... 2 days ago i was updating the teamspeaks servers to the 3.0.5 version... And i saw that some of the permissions are turn off for the Admin Server Query group for example for this group i cannot manage icons ... i try turn on the permissiong but i get error... ( insufficient permission modify power ) ofcourse i get this error message because behind this permission there is no grant power of 100... How i fix this issue? oh by the way i got more permissions that are turn off on this admin server query group. can i those lost permissions via the server query commands? what is the specified permission that adding this permission again
On our other TS 3 servers we dont have any issues and the Admin server query has there all the permissions activated... is it possible that this server has an verry old setup installation that this problem comes through? or is it only possible that some staff member of us has disabled this all permissions by hand...
Kind regards
Barry

And take a look in this thread: http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...t-aid-quot-kitCode:login serveradmin <password> use sid=<server_id> or use port=<voice_port> servergroupaddperm sgid=2 permid=65417 permvalue=100 permnegated=0 permskip=0

Have you an identity in the group ASQ, which is not serveradmin(1)?
If yes, connect > Right click on his name > permissions > permissions overview > export as txt > and post this file here.

which is why you should never put any Clients into that group! EVER! ^^
The only ways to fix this issue now would be:
- trash the Database and start from scratch
- Edit the Database directly while the server instance is shutdown. (Risking even more damage if you don't know what you are doing)

In server 3.0.5, this group has 237 permissions, and in your list I can account 193,
Really I don't know how solved this.Last edited by Jordi; 13-05-2012 at 16:33.

Most likely. The serverquery is the last line of defense for your permission system before you have to just start over. That's why it shouldn't be assigned to any user.
