FTP link in

I think that it would be nice if you could link in FTP to the TS file browser. I know that you can do it using the files but you can't tell which channel it is as it just lists the numbers.

Would be kind of useful. I'm doubtful that it will be accepted though. It may have even been suggested before.

I could imagine many people feeling uncomfortable with some sort of FTP implementation publicly accessible included in the TS3 Server...

Basically, I'm sure this idea will fail under the following reasons.

1. Permission setting for file browse/upload/download/rename/remove in ts3 would be totally pointless, since a user can simply go into a directory that s/he does not have permission and do the above operations.

2. Ok, you'd say that you can set up each user with the perviliages with read/write access on individual directories and files, the permission list set for the user would be huge, and in the event on a big server, that's alot of data load = server overload = unstable.

3. TeamSpeak 3's primary goal is a chat software, not a file sharing software.

The permission system does not matter for the FTP linking , but yes this won't be included.
We want to offer the possibility to share files with other user, but an FTP is not Teamspeak releated anymore.

You could do it for yourself. You have the channel- and server ID and and you can get name of such a channel.
