anti-flood question
hi,
TS3 with the new version 3.0.6 is also the anti-flood has changed.
1. Now my question is how does it work? Warning and kick was removed and instead there is blocking commands.
2. How long are blocked commands? IP block forever now? Previously, you could set a time which was better.

I can answer these questions.
All client actions gives a different number of points (the number of points for each action is a secret).
The client gets blocked, when he has reached the maximum flood points (set by your virtual server).
The client does loose 5 points per second. This is the default setting for a server and he is able again to do something, when his points are under 150 again.
All these values can be changed and the default values are
- 150 to block client commands
- 250 to block the IP (when user joins and leaves)
- 5 points per second to be removed---------------------------------------------------------

can be so "command block" with only pauses and when you are under the points you make something that's good. This is the IP ban shame he can not be a limited period, so it is automatically canceled.
Thank you for your quick answer

We call it command block, because any client action is a command to the server

The system when a user was banned automatically was bad :-(, to many users got banned without beeing bad.---------------------------------------------------------

I used the ban as a kick on time, was then set for 5 minutes. Therefore, I find it sad that that has changed and there is no setting more how long someone blocked / is banished. It's bad if you're not even on the server and someone is automatically banned without time, you do not constantly look at the ban list to unban to this again.

Nobody is automatically banned anymore! But anything the Client does is discarded / ignored by the server... So in the end they will be stuck in whatever channel they were when their Points exceeded the limit, cannot talk, write, whisper, switch channels, nothing. All they can still do is hear others talking.
Even with the old system the automated Flood Bans never showed up in the Banlist and couldn't be removed manually either.

It did not ban out the list are removed manually, you have set the time, then the one who had min fifth break and could not annoy the other time. time before the blocked user can do something is much faster and not be influenced.
There is no warning it will no longer which is a shame, because it is just now being punished without previous announcement.
