Advice on a buzzing sound

Hello, i am just wondering if any1 has had this problem and if so how to fix it.

Problem:
A client logs onto my sever and all you hear is like a buzzing sound ( sounds more like a fan ) when she speak or when voice activated is on its constant.

We have tried a few changes in the settings but so no joy.

She has just bought a new headset and its doing the same, and is running the latest ts, and on windows xp with real tech manager for the sound.

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Check drivers. Could be line interference (especially on a laptop). Could also be a bad connector. Hard to tell without physical access to the machine.
