Subscribe & Modify Channel Permission Problems
Hello,
I run quite a large TeamSpeak server and have been having some problems getting the permission system working 100%
I tried watching the YouTube videos, searching the forums, reading the permission system FAQ and still cannot get the permission system working 100% as I need it. Despite trying to add/remove/modify options within in the permission system.
There are two parts to my question, both are to do with permissions, but, different functions.
1) Subscribe - I guess the easiest way to describe what I am trying to achieve is that I want ALL users (except Server Admins) to not be able to subscribe to any channel unless they have the password. Currently guests can simply subscribe to a channel even if they don't have the password.
2) Modify Channel Type - I also want no users to be able to edit channel types. I only want Server Admins to be able to create a permanent channels. At the moment, guests can only create a temp channel. However, once they create the temp channel, they can go in and edit it and then modify the type to permanent...
I hope that my description of the problem and what I need the server to do makes sense. I am happy to expand if this needs clarification.
Thanks.

Just a quick update, in regards to problem (2) ... I think I may have resolved it by doing the following:
Permissions -> Server Groups -> Guest -> Channel -> Modify
b_channel_modify_make_permanent
b_channel_modify_make_semi_permanent
Leave Value blank and tick Skip on both

Yep, that should solve the Problem for your Guests making Temp Channels Permanent.
As for your first Problem: It is currently not possible to only allow subscribing if they know the password or not. Passwords are asked for once by the client upon entering the channel for the first time in the current session. After that the client will cache it and send it to the server automatically again when joining. Passwords are required for join and filetransfer but not for subscribing...

Thanks for the reply... It looks like that guests cannot change channels to permanent now.
In regards to the subscriptions, that is a shame, now all users can see who is in what channel. It is funny with such a complex large permissions system, that something like that is overlooked
