Error, could not open Capture Device
Hello,
I've got a problem with Teamspeak 3.
My OS is Win7 64-bit
My TS version is 3.0.6 64-bit
I hear peoples talking but i can't talk with them, my mic is "disabled". When I try to choose the device, nothing work and I tried everything.
My Headset is connected to my keyboard (Logitech G510).
All my drivers are up-to-date and there is no driver for my headset (Plantronics Gamescom 367).
Can anyone of you help me ?
Thank you.

Try to connect the Headset directly to your Mainboard.

Check Settings -> Options -> Capture -> Capture Device
Is it listed as Red? If so choose the correct Device from the Dropdown or just choose Default Device.
Check if it was correctly recognized by Windows (Right CLick Speaker Icon next to Clock in Systray -> Recording Devices). If it is not listed there then Windows did not recognize the device correctly and TeamSpeak won't know anything about the Device.
Also try if the Headset works in Sound Recorder (just type Sound recorder into the Start menu to find it)

Windows recognize my mic as a capture device because it's working on mumble actually, and in "capture device" list, there is the device and it's in black, but when i choose it or i choose default, nothing happen and the problem isn't solve.

When connected to the Server in the currently active Tab click Self -> Capture Profile and make sure there is a checkmark in front of your Capture Profile.
If one of the Entries in that Menu has a checkmark but you still cannot talk click the Mic with the Green checkmark in the Toolbar.

Yes the Icon next to the Away one by Default, if you cannot click it it's fine.
Glad you solved your Problem, but it would be nice if you included your Solution so others can benefit from it

I just unplugged everything and re-plugged one-by-one and windows solved the problem alone lol
Now, evertything works fine
Apparently there was some conflicts between the USB devices and the Jack plugs.Last edited by Afirher; 12-06-2012 at 19:39.
