very low sound from headset - TS3

I have browsed for over an hour and I can't find the solution..

I'm using TS3 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine on a Gigabyte 990FX - ud3 motherboard. The motherboard uses realtek drivers. The drivers are installed via the disk provided to me.

Sound works just fine in Windows. I can use test sound and the audio is perfectly fine at any level I want. On Teamspeak, however, I hear very very low sound from people.

    I have done the following:
-turned up the windows 7 volume mixer for teamspeak
-turned up my playback to +20 decibels
    -tried other playback device options

Anybody find a solution to this?

edit: It appears to not work on any VOIP software.. so I'm assuming there is something else at fault..

Maybe this thread, exactly post#5, could give you a solution:
