Unable to ban Permanent.
hi,
I'm having problems with banning people permanent.
I'm assigned to: Admin Server Query, Server Admin and a few copied Normal server groups.
Max ban time are all set to: -1 but i'm unable to ban guests / normal.
the max time is 1 minute and i don't know how to raise it xD

Ok step 1, plese login into telnet and remove the QueryAdmin group from your user.
We do not support this group for normal clients!
Step 2.Open your permissiosn overview and search for i_client_ban_max_bantime. Now compare the values.---------------------------------------------------------

Once you fixed your (most likely) Screwed Permission Setup yes. Just do what dante told you to, then we'll see how it goes from there.

Maybe, i dont know the permissions for your server

Please check your permissions with a Right-click on yourself > Permissions > Permissions Overview
Now enter i_client_ban_max_bantime and you will se, where that 60 seconds are comming from.---------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for your help.
Apparently i've set client permissions on my client.
In the rush adding all those permissions i've forgot to change the 75 to -1.
And when i'm Admin Server Query no one can edit my client unless i'm revoked of that server group.
Stupid mistake!
thanks!

Never give admin to people, who should not play with you...
In my opinion
The ServerQuery Admin group should be revoked automatically as soon a user gets the group assigned on a server.---------------------------------------------------------

Or your masters should have it done like in TS2.
Any "Super Admin" user couldnt connect to the client, only to the WI and Query.
In TS3 any user in a QueryGroup should be treated as query client only, meaning i. e. only default channel, no talk power...
/* edit
@Storm: didnt say anything about not connecting, only to treat them as Query clients.
Btw, an alternative would be to allow only query clients (like "serveradmin" or created via "b_client_create_modify_serverquery_login") to be added to Query Groups.

Not being able to connect would raise alot of questions / complaints and "Bug Reports" again, but just removing the group on connect and on assign should be ok
