Avatar problem
Hi,
first i have to apologize for my english
(This problem is not on my server, but the other canīt lesser english then me^^)
So... The problem is, that some avatarīs are not displayed in the client. instead the avatar it displayed "loading Image", but some avatars are displayed immediately, some after 30-60 minutes and other never...
Filetransfer runs without any error.
Weīve tried this solutions:
1. installed the server complety new -> same problem
2. changed the up- download quota and bandwidth -> same problem
3. we even switcht the database from sqlite to mysql -> same problem
It seems the Problem isnīt the Teamspeak Server, but i didnīt know what i must change on Debian
(The VServer is config like mine, and theres no problem)
Have anyone a idea whatīs the problem is ?
The server (version 3.06, but the problem was already on 3.05) runs on a Linux Debian Squeeze VServer.
Thanks a lot

Avatars get cached locally, so if an avatar is already in the cache it will be displayed instantly (loaded from Harddisk). If not it will be retrieved from the Server before it can be displayed, depending on the Connection Speed and available Bandwith on both Server and Client it can take some time to be downloaded especially when using animated Avatars which can be quite large.
If the Avatar is not on the Server anymore because the file was deleted manually Clients cannot download it and will display Loading Avatar indefinitely until the Client sets a new Avatar.

Thats right, but we were both on the TS and when we changed the avatar it would sometime displayed and sometime "loading Image". The avatar was at least 10-30kb, so the transfertime should really short. The bandwidth from server and client canīt be the reason

We also tried to the delete the Client cache, after the other have changed his avatar. (disconnet from server, clear cache and reconnect) Normaly the client must download the new one, but does it not every time.Last edited by Beetlestone; 23-06-2012 at 19:55.

I am having the same issue on my server, but I also appear to be the only person experiencing it. Clearing the cache does nothing, and I can see my own avatar as well as the avatar belonging to another (completely random) user.

Have you tried having them reset their avatar? It might have been deleted on the server for some reason.
