Router problems

I am running Windows XP and Cookies are enabled I have tried disableing my internet security and nothing works I am on version 2.0.19.40, my sound card is a 32MB creative labs audigy sound blaster PCI, the game I am trying to use is Planet Side, when I run the server no one outside of my LAN can join I have tried port triggering and I am not 100% sure if I am doing it right.
When I go to my port triggering page I have 4 boxes to fill in one is the application name I put "server.ini" in that box and then I got trigger port range has 2 boxes I put the numbers 8767 in both those boxes (they are seperated by a "~") and 2 more boxes where I put the number 8767 (seperated by a "~") labled incoming port range.

When using a machine behind a router for the server, the router must know to forward an incoming connect request from the internet, I'm not entirely sure exactly how the triggering works. Easiest way to get this working is go into router config, and find the DMZ host , put in the local ip of the machine that is running the teamspeak server ( ie i have two machines on my router, the ip to one is 192.168.1.100, and the other is 192.168.1.101) my teamspeak server runs on the 101 machine, so thats what i put in dmz. If you dont want to forward ALL incoming port requests by using dmz. Then use port forwarding. In which case this is what i would use, i have a linksys router and this is how my port forwarding would look.

Port Forwarding

14534 ext port, tcp udp =checks in both, ip addy 192.168.1.101

also do the same for the following two ports.

8767

This will foward any incoming requests on these 3 ports to the computer with the ip address of 192.168.1.101. ( all 3 ports are needed for teamspeak to work properly)

Please, port triggering is not port forwarding !! (I will skip describing the differences.)

remove port triggering records that you have added for teamspeak2 and configure something that is called:
"virtual server" or "port forwarding" in your router. For that you know the ports protocols and IP address so thats fine
What router do you have? Company? model?

If you are desperate use DMZ and set it to that teamspeak server ip.
