    Migrating default installation to MySQL

    Greetings!

I am since release running a TS3 Server on a Windows Server.

The problem is that I installed it default with sqlite3 and I now would like to migrate it to MySQL to enable myself administrate the database a little bit easier.

Is this is even possible to do and if so is there any guide around on how to do it?

I found some guide for doing it on Linux which we all know most likely is not the same thing.

Appreciate any help on this as it would enable me to run the TS3 DB on a seperate disk and also enable proper backups for disaster recovery etc.

    Thanks in advance.

You should note that "administrating" the Database manually is most definitely a bad choice, especially so while the Server is running.

In any case it is really quite simple and apart from programs used no different than on Linux: Stop the Server, use any Program capable of reading and exporting SQLite Database Files to export the Database, convert the created File to MySQL Syntax, and finally import into the MySQL Database. All that's left is to tell the Server to use the MySQL Db and start it up again.

Thanks for the info. Will have a look on some tools capable of doing this. No I am not going to administrate the DB when the server is running its more of being able to for example do regular backups and have it handled within the same in terface instead of having to schedule some kind of copy script or similar in the Windows task manager.
