Is there a legal issues on original game icons ?

I looked every page on http://addons.teamspeak.com/director...con-packs.html (I was looking for guest-rank icon)
and found out that there are only LOW QUALITY game icons(I downloaded every icon pack) , some are cutted (16x14 13x13) or they have less colors than 8bit(256color) , or they are custom made , or combination above

    So the QUESTION is :
Is there some legal issue/license on original game icons ? If not , I could upload original Icons from games

(I know some e-sport website which use some original icons , so i was curious about it , how is the license on this)
    sorry for bad English :P

Check the individual license agreements. Most games have a madia kit or the like for publicity. You could look into something like that.

Normally the icons are protected by law (situation in Germany) and your are not allowed to use them without permission especially if they are a trademark. But as phillbox said the license agreement may give you the permission or some public graphics are available.

But I am not a lawyer so I cannot promise that this is right.
