TS3 loses connection to servers and then closes after five minutes

I recently downloaded TS3 and whenever I open it up, everything works fine for maybe 5-10 minutes. At some point though, I stop hearing the voices, chat doesn't update and any messages I say don't get sent out. This happens on every server I've been on. All I've done is uninstall and re-install the program, but I wasn't sure what else to do. If there is any information I could provide to help I will be glad to provide it. Thank you in advance.

Edit: I found a post http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...ame-connection that has a problem similar to mine. If you could also post a reply there to help this fellow out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Has teamspeak always had this problem for you? If so, try turning of DOS/DDOS/Flood protection in your router.

Yes it has. Ever since I downloaded it a few days ago and started using it. And excuse me for sounding tech impaired, but how would I go about turning those off?

Access your Router's Webinterface and search for such an option. Usually to be found in Sections like Firewall / Security.
Google for your Router Model if you don't know how / where to reach the webinterface of it.
