Cannot Connect To Servers Using 64bit Windows TS3 Client.......
.....but I can connect using the 32bit Windows TS3 Client.
Back when I bought this computer, (back in 2008), it came with Windows Vista 32bit. I used the TS3 32bit client for Windows back then with no problems. I upgraded to Windows Vista 64bit in 2009-2010. I installed the Vista 64bit clean, so there's no trace of the old Vista 32bit OS. So I went ahead and installed the TS3 64bit client for Windows, thinking that's what I needed since I'm running a 64bit Windows OS. It installed without any problems, but when I tried to connect to a friends server, or any public server, it would keep saying "Error" and in red text it says Failed to connect to server. I uninstalled the TS3 64bit client for Windows and installed the TS3 32bit client for Windows, I could connect to my friends server and any public server.
I uninstalled TS3 a while back and have had to recently reinstall it because it's used in certain games that I play. I didn't think anything of it and downloaded and installed the 64bit TS3 client for Windows. It installed fine with no problems, set everything up in the setup wizard and went to connect to my friends server and I get the same "Error" sound with the same red text. So, I did the same thing as in the above paragraph, (uninstalled the 64bit TS3 client for Windows and installed the 32bit TS3 client for Windows), with the same end result.
My question is, why can't the 64bit Windows Client for TS3 connect to any server if I'm running a 64bit OS?

The problem has nothing to do with the 32 or 64 bit client and it does not matter when both are isntalled at the same time.
- This is a conenction problem and it coulb be that your firewall, router, antivirus or p2p software does use or block all udp ports.
- Or maybe it works, whe nyou use the IP 194.97.114.2:9987 instead and yes i see, that the log shows, that the address was resolved.---------------------------------------------------------

I currently only have the 64bit client installed. My anitvirus and firewall allow it. I turned off my firewall, (Windows firewall is never on), and still could not connect to any server. I tried voice.teamspeak.com server and the IP you have above, (194.97.114.2:9987), and still get the "Error" voice with the same red text Failed to connect to server.

Have you tried a server from the weblist? And are you 100% sure, that udp traffic is allowed in your router and maybe some flood settings stop the client here?

I've just tried 10 different servers from the server list with the same result. As for the flood setting and the router, the 32 bit client worked fine on the same computer so I know nothing blocks me on the router. I turned my firewall off during the tests and I still get the same "Error"..Failed to connect to server.

And you still can use the 32 bit client and it connects?
This brings me to the opinion, that your firewall or another tool blocks the 64 bit binary for any udp connection.---------------------------------------------------------

I can not explain, why it does not work, because i do not see any reason why this should not work, but the 32 bit client works.
I will ask a developer for this, but i do not see a chance for this :-(---------------------------------------------------------
