Solved How do you add a client to a server group?

This may seem like a really dumb question but I want to add an existing client to a new Server Admin Group I created, but I can find no way to do this through the client.

I can see where to mess with group permissions, or channel permissions, or even client permissions ... but I really don't see where I can "add clients" to any particular channel or group.

It almost looks like the only way to do this is when the client is connected to the server ... I hope that is not the case. I went ahead and created a privilege key for that admin group and I think I am supposed to use it as an "invite" ... but that appears to require the user to perform an action ... which is far from an ideal work flow process for dealing with users.

In the end, I am trying to write PHP code, using the Framework, that will automatically add / remove clients from different server / channel groups. To test the code, I need to be able to add people to groups / remove people from groups from the client, so I can then make sure the PHP code is doing it's job correctly.

I just created an object that handles the creation of a "smart link" that helps to tie the client id to our community id and the next step is to grant certain community members server admin abilities (a new group set at 70). I would love some documentation on how to setup / administer users, but I have not been able to find any. Googling "teamspeak 3 how to add clients to server groups" yielded nothing helpful.

It's kind of boggling that I can't figure out how to do this just by looking at the client ... it's even more boggling that I can find no documentation on this subject. Is there some treasure trove of information out there that I am missing? Or is the learning curve for using this product simply that steep?

Permissions -> ServerGroups -> Select the Group on the left -> On the Right click the Add Button and enter the Clients Unique ID or Database ID.

I am supposed to paste in the CLID or the CLBDID (not the UID) into the text box labeled "Enter Server Group Name" in the context window titled "Add Server Group"?

    Rehash:

Permissions Window -> Select Tab: Server Groups ... displays a list of all the server groups.

Right click on a server group provides the following options: Add, Rename, Copy, Remove, Create Privilege Key

When choosing "add" from the context menu of a selected server group a window appears with title of "Add Server Group" with a text input box with the title of "Enter Server Group Name".

So I must be doing something wrong cause pasting a identifier for a client into a "Enter Server Group Name" text field located in a window titled "Add Server Group" can't possibly be right.

You are doing something wrong, reading my answer properly
After selecting the Group on the left move your mouse cursor to the right part of the dialog where you will find two buttons Add and Remove... Click the Add Button.

Yea ... I read "on the right click" as just "right click".

    Thanks.
