    Default text to speech not working after 3.0.7 update

    Updated the version of team speak to 3.0.7 and now the default text to speech does not work. I have tried default sound pack (female) and the default sound pack (male) and they both work correctly even in the playback under options. I have uninstalled team speak and manually deleted the folder in program files then re-installed team speak with no avail. It was working fine with the 3.0.6 version. Does anyone have any insight or help they can offer please ?

    If you want to use Text to Speech you have to use a SOundpack that uses Text to Speech, which by default is only the "Default Text to Speech" soundpack. Always been this way.

    Yep, I have to agrree

    These are 2 different types of soundpack. One does play sound files and the other one does read and speak for you.

    I am aware of this. What I am saying is that the "default" text to speech that comes with the team speak installation is not working. Of the 3 that are installed by default when you install team speak the default text to speech is working after the update. Was working before update and I use it all of the time. Now I can not.

    I understand this also. The one that read and speaks to you doesn't work after update.

    Is there a way to re-install the default text to speech sound pack?

    This soundpack is only a text file included in your client folder and the client does use the default text-to-speech engine from your operation system.

    Could it be, that you use an Logitech G35 Headset and your client before that was 3.0.3 or 3.0.5 or even older?

    I had the 3.0.6 version before the upgrade and I do use a Logitech G930. Does that have an affect on it ?

    You could try to change your Headset sound to stereo mode and listen.
    It could be, that the G930 is as bugged as the G35
