How do I change a user's channel group while that user is offline or not in channel?
As per thread title, I have tried but do not know how.

I don't think it's possible without editing the database (not recommended), using an admin tool or serverquery.

Just got to Permissions -> Channel Groups of Client then just enter UniqueID of the User you want to change the Channelgroups for. Double Click the Channelgroup Name and you can select any channelgroup you want.

Thanks Silent, I never noticed that before. The devs should combine it with the main permissions interface.

With current client 3.0.8, it is possible to drag and drop offlien users from the chat or from the client list into that permission window
