Two Clients with same groups. Permissions/ Server security issue

    Hi Guys,

Two clients with the same server group assignments, one can add and remove himself to and from higher levels of server group. The other cannot (all greyed out).

Would anyone hazard a guess to what is wrong with our set up?
Let me know if you need any other info.

    Thanks in advance.

Well the two files you've posted report different file sizes, so there's obviously a difference between them. You just need to work through these two files to see what the differences are and make the necessary adjustments to the non-working one

Why don't you change in the permissions of that group "i_group_member_add_power" to value as "-1" That worked for me when my users could change there own group.

    Hope this helps you

Which shouldn't even work as it creates a major security issue...

You can set it on a certain group for example I set mine on guest and it stopped all guests changing to a regular group.. I don't understand how restricting something would create a security issue, could you please explain what you mean?

Nvm that I misread your original Statement. It fortunately doesn't work the way I thought it would on first thought

The extra info is nothing to do with server groups it seems. Dudes, guests accounts can now add themselves to server groups. Nothing has changed.

Does ts keep logs I admin changes etc?

In that case your Permissions are totally screwed up...
Make sure guests don't have group_member_add_power and other Servergroups DO have a group_needed_member_add_power.
