import/export identity problem on Ubuntu 12.04
Hello
i have two pc at home ..
my office pc runs ubuntu 12.04 x64 with last version of teamspeak ...
i also have a notebook with dual boot on windows xp and ubuntu 12.04 x86
i want to export my identity from office pc to notebook ... i use a fat32 usb key for that ...
once my identity is on the usb key , i start my notebook
first , i use windows session , start TS , identity import , grab the file on my usb key ....
no problem .... great ....
i reboot my notebook to start ubuntu session , start TS , identity , import but ... ( there's always a but .. ) my ubuntu session does not see my identity file (jeromets.ini) which is on the usb key ....
Even nautilus can see the file but i am unable to import it because there's no such file in dialog box of TS
i have tried to chmod my .ini file ...
i have added .ini in the name just in case it could be a problem with its extension ...
Still no luck
even with the same pc ( on ubuntu ) , i can export a identity file but i can't see it when i try to import ...lol
any idea ??
thanks for reading me
Best regards , Jérôme

What happens , when you just copy it from the stick onto your hard drive and load from there?

hello
i just copied my .ini file to my home folder .... i can see it with nautilus ...
when i try to import with TS , there's a dialog box and it asks for the .ini file ... unforttunately i can't see any .ini file ..
strange thing ...
you can reproduce the bug if you want
start TS , go to identity , export your file to whatever place you want ...
close TS , restart TS and try to import the file you have exported just before ...
you won't see it thru ts even if nautilus says the file is here
best regards
Jérôme

Thanks for the answer .....
well , i can see the ini file i have exported on my desktop with nautilus
but when i try to import this .ini file , the dialog box doesn't see any .ini file on my desktop ....
Finally , i found a way to do it ...
i have first to tick on the icon " Entrez le nom du fichier " ( enter file name manually ) , then write the name of the .ini file to be able to choose it ....
thanks for your support
problem solved
Best regards
Jéjé
