Cannot connect to my server
Ok i used to have timewarner cable.
I moved and i now hace comcast/xfinity
When i go to my router to open my ports it lets me
but when i try to connect to the server via my ip it won't let me.
Any help?

Well it's not clear in your post where is the server but due you talk about open the ports then probably the server is in your local lan.
Then, not always the public IP works inside the local network. That means:
a) Server & client in the same computer: localhost (as is, instead of any ip)
b) Server & client in different computers but in the same lan: the local ip of the server, for example 192.168.x.y
c) Server & client in different computers and lan: the public ip (or address name, for example 'my.ts3.com') of the server

Make sure the TeamSpeak 3 Server is allowed in the Windows Firewall and any other Software Firewall / Security Suite you might be running.
Then make sure the server is running and click the following Link: Connect to your TeamSpeak 3 Server.

In fact, your router and firewall settings have nothing to do with a connection to your local IP.
- But maybe your localhost ip is not 127.0.0.1 (yes this can be changed)
- or you have setup your server to listen to your external ip or lan ip? This makes it impossible to use the server from outside and does not allow to use 127.0.0.1 or the lan IP (depends on the used ip) for this.Last edited by dante696; 01-08-2012 at 10:52.
