Group assignment per temporary password.
Server gruppe -Temp Password - Permission
So when a Temp client joins Teamspeak.
then you can controle what they can do on Teamspeak server.
if you do not want to move other channel on Teamspeak. so you just block it.

You can control it already with your default group permissions.
I do not really understand your suggestion/feature request.
An eval ticket for this was created, we have to discuss this feature first.Last edited by dante696; 01-08-2012 at 10:14.

I understand the request in a way that server and/or channelgroups can be (optionally?) defined when creating the temporary server password, so those groups are automatically assigned to any user logging into that server using this temporary server password.
I'm inclined to consider this a worthwhile addition to the temporary server password feature. Unless I'm mistaken, this has been requested before on this forum as well.

if you know the right code for Teamspeak, then you can use the entire teamspeak with rettigeheder as a guest has.
and if you only know the temp password. he can not move to other channels on teamspeak.
if you have a pug run in wow you can get all come into play on Teamspeak. but they do not disturb others on Teamspeak
the cant move channels.

oh man, that's great, it's the exact thing i was asking about in the permissions forum, any response to this suggestion? (making it happen would be simply AMAZING)

this is the thread i've started since didn't see anything like i was looking for in permissions forum http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...group?p=340662

Seems like an addition to the default groups. So that on the temp password creation area you could set up default server/channel groups instead of the default server ones. Obviously in a way that you can only select groups that you have permission to add/remove. I like this a lot. I don't know if it would be useful for my server, however for servers that have a global server password it would be fantastic because you really can control what goes on.
For example, a gaming clan TeamSpeak server with a global password, yet you could make a temp password for your family that will put them into a secure/passworded channel and set default server/channel groups making it impossible for them to see or interact with people outside that channel and prevent other people on the server from moving your family to their channels.
Very good idea.

thanks, that's exactly what i was talking about, you got me. i didn't care much about channel and more about group because you can set group privileges easily.

That's what privilege keys were made for...

Privilege keys are optional.. This feature would enforce new default groups based on the password used. Only useful of course if the server its self has a main password on it, thus forcing people to use the particular password given to them.

ScP
but privileges keys are "difficult" to give out on different media and once inside certain games since some symbol combination are changed to icons by the game itself.

what i was thinking of in a general sense is to have an "open" server that anybody can connect to, but any new user is put the a certain channel to which the said user has no talk power or transfer to another channel power unless they connect with a specific password which would allow them to be assigned to a specific group with preset privileges and only then would be able to move from the "silent" channel and to another one.
what we have now on our server is similar to what i've described, with the difference that me and the other admins assign groups manually to anybody who enters (which can be quite frustrating as you can imagine).
so unlike you wrote, the server would be open but with as much temp(which would actually be permanent) passwords as needed.

That is a really nice idea actually. I had not thought about it from the reverse of what I suggested. That is a cool idea.
