Server Security and Permission Advice
Good Evening Everyone,
I run a TS server on Windows for my game clan. I am now also running some official stuff on the TS server in a different channel which is pwd channel and I must gurantee 100% that noone official can be interferred with from any other person including my game clan members.
Like I have said I have created a new channel with pwd which the official ppl will auto join so others cannot join it. I will also using permission system prevent any pms coming to them from the outside. SO I have covered offical communications methods.
The last thing I am worrying about is if people log on with a funny name such as 'you official people are stupid' and I need to be able to stop that.
Is there a way I can block absolutly everyone from Teamspeak and then only allow certain names to join so a allow only list.
I do not wish to use allowed IP list or pwd the entire server (because even people that have access from the clan cannot be trusted lol)
ALSO there is one other problem I have. I still want to allow the non-priverlidged people to be able to offline msg each other but not offline msg the priverlidged but I cannot see an option for this either?
Hopefully someone can advise me. Thanks in advance.
Regards,

This is not possible. It would be much easier and way less hassle to just use a different TS3 Server for this kind of stuff.
Also from my Point of view it sounds like you would need to buy an AAL License...

This is not possible using the teamspeak permission system alone
HOWEVER, if you use a bot then Non priv to priv messages can be detected and destroyed (the offline message alert would still appear if the user is online at the time) and the name checking can also be done, although would require some tweaking and the punishment is down to you
I use a modified version of ts3admin.class.php for a custom coded bot on my TS and it's safe to say checking usernames would be simple enough
Raise me over PM if you want some help setting one up on your server, assuming you can leave a php script running 24/7 at least

Hmm ok thanks for the reply. Its not commercial purposes so doesn't need to be licensed. It looks like I might have to look into another server but I really wanted to keep it as one.
I will pm you Maxis010 just to talk over something ty.
