TS2 stop working when game starts

Lately I have noticed that when I start TS2 then go to the game we are choosing to play that TS stops functioning and I have to stop the game and click on TS in order for the comms to work. As a matter of fact anything that I click on in my desktop stops TS from working. Is there a common fix for this? Also your search box at the top right corner of this site does not respond to the mouse, therefore the question. I have a feeling I am not the lone ranger on this issue but am unable to search for any earlier similar issues due to search forums not responding

btw I did do the run as admin thing and did find a two yr old post that listed all sorts of things that didn't work and have even ported my modem to 8080 to help things even adding ts to startup but to no avail. and my system is a regular ole win7x64 my only work around is to run ts on another computer while gaming. It use to work fine til a few days ago and no I haven't changed anything and I seem to have picked up echos where there were none before on all settings PTT or voip no matter the settings.
