How to backup identity file without access to to identity manager

Hi,

My pc broke down, mainboard issue. I managed to connect my hdd to a different pc to create a copy of my files.
I also want to backup my identity. I read that I need to do this by exporting it from the teamspeak 3 program.

The problem is that I can't get it started on the other pc as it reads it's a 64 bit version and the pc my hdd is connected to now is a 32 bit windows. I managed to find the programm's folders under AppData. Is there a specific file within those maps that contains my identity?

In other words how do I backup my identity without using the export function from TS3?

You have to get the backup from your ts3clientui_qt.secrets.conf there are 2 filepaths, where it could be stored (Vista/windows 7). Just place the old file over the new one, to get all passwords and identitys back.

C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\config\ts3clientui_qt.secrets.conf
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\TS3Client\ts3cli entui_qt.secrets.conf < it will be hard to get into that folder without permisisons. You better search for tools on google to overwrite the permisisons to that path.

You can use that whole config folder too, to get every settings and bookmark back.

Tools like Windows maybe? Everything you need for stuff like this is already a basic and integral part of the Operating System itself... no need for any tools... At least as long as you got a working Windows with an Admin Account. Otherwise just about any Linux Live CD will do the trick.

There are 2 locations (Win7 / Vista), where you whole configuartion is stored.

1. Press "windows + R" and type "%appdata%\TS3Client\"
or 2. "C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\config"

Both are the same config folder, but on different locations (depends of installtion). They contain all settings, bookmarks, chats, cache etc.
