Talking Only some people can connect now... now some people can't.

    Hello all,

I'm not a noob, or a networking idiot.. but here's some interesting questions.....

I am running a TeamSpeak2 Server behind a Cisco router on 12 multiplexed T1's. I opened UDP Port 8767 on the router... My TS2 Server usually has about 20-30 people on it at a time... When I moved the TS server behind the router.... SOME people could NOT connect, but others could. (i can) I talked to one of the people who has a LinkSys Router, and i had him open port 8767 on his router.... no luck.... it ONLY worked when we opened the WHOLE port range 0-65535 on his router.... Some of the people who need to connect to teamspeak are not computer savy enough to do this.... and won't open all their ports... HOW CAN I FIX THIS? They could connect BEFORE i moved TS2 behind the router, after i moved it only some people could.....

    What's the deal????

I think that you can do nothing about it. I think it is the problem of the clients.

In case of the LinkSys: Most of the LinkSys Firmware is more than crappy and is doing many strange things. He may try to upgrade or downgrade his Firmware to find a verisin that is working.

However the problem may be your router/server.
But to say something about that you must give more info. Is something in the client/server log?
What exact error message does the client give?
What client version are they using (exact version not something like latest)?
What server version are you using?
    etc..

    Server version: 2.0.19.40 Win32

i couldnt turn logging on, my termserv sessions were full... i just turned it on now... so next time he connects it will log it-- thanks for your quick response. im not sure what client version he is using i will have to find out.... multiple people are havingissues i BELIEVE they are all using linksys routers/switch combos. I am using a linksys at my house and i can connect to the server fine... however, i have every port known to man open to my box his error i believe is "no reply from server"

Thanks again. (my cisco router is configured fine at my data center )
