Same here. I'm running Windows 98 on a P3 Dell System w/ 640 megs of RAM.
I've done everything...redownload, uninstall, reboots, uninstalled old TS, etc, etc, etc.
Not working.

I too have done everything I can think of.
HELLO TEAMSPEAK SUPPORT>>>>>>>>>>
When we install the program and then click on the launch icon, the program acts like it is starting up; however, it never does. Nothing comes up. There is nothing in the task bar or anywhere on screen. When you Ctrl-Alt-Del you see that "TeamSpeak" is one of the programs allegedly running. But it is not. When we "END TASK", it waits a few seconds and then comes up w/ TeamSpeak is Not Responding and you can then "End" it.
I am running WIN 98, Dell Dimension P3 500 w/ 640megs of RAM, a Turtle Beach Montego Sound Card and DirectX 8.1
I ran your last version of TeamSpeak w/out any problems. Any help would be appreciated. I search your FAQ and have not found this problem. If it is there could you please direct us to the fix.

It seems the only thing we all have in common is Win98. Can anyone out there (since we are getting no support) tell us if they are having any difficulties with Win98 or do you have Win98 and it's running fine.

I'm running xp so I can't say if it's a 98 problem, but to help clarify things, try starting the program from the start menu and also try starting it fron the TS2 folder. If it runs properly from either of these locations the developers will be able to look into the desktop shortcut for a bug. Also if it works you could delete the desktop icon and create a new shortcut from the folder.
Please post your findings.

I'm trying really hard to duplicate this. so far i have used 4 pc's from PII 450 up to amd 2000 and used win98 win2k and xp. I'm not giving up yet and will post in a day or two when i have another chance to try it on some other systems.

Could it be our Sound Cards??? I know my Sound Blaster PCI 16 is not much of a card but it ran TS 1.5 just great.

I personally use a SB pci 16 in my gaming machine, have found no reason to upgrade as i use my stereo for music and can not honestly tell much of a difference using the other sound cards while gaming. got a sb live collecting dust in a drawer

So your PCI 16 runs TS2 just fine. Well............ beats me why I can't open the client.
