Question Can not log in to server ??

First time user for TS server.
Seems I can't log in to my server for some reason.

Here is the log file, you can see the pw that I used and the port # along with the name. Yes I understand the unable to detect external ip message. From this log it seems the server is running.

I'm running WinXP SP1 with ZoneAlarm Pro with a cable modem.
I've read through the server manual, FAQ, and the Forums with no luck so far. I understand that TS and SP1 aren't the best of friends. I set ZA to give TS access and server permission always.

When I log into the server all I get is this line in the address bar,
http://localhost:14534/index.html and the log in screen again with only the port 8767 showing. If I log in again I get log in failed.
I tried to log into the server with the client using this address
http://localhost:14534/index.html and localhost:8767 with no luck.
I uninstalled it several times in hope this might help. I check all my setting in Explorer to see if I had some setting that might stop the loading of the server. Same for ZA. Disabled my Anti Virus in hopes this might help. Hell the only thing I haven't done is disconnect form the net and shut down everything to see if that might help. Ya like I want to run a server on an open system.

Please help I'm at my wits end.

If you get the login screen of the web interface the server is running. Make sure your Browser is accepting cookies (ZA also has an option to block cookies. disable it). Otherwise you will not be able to log in. If all fails try another browser like mozilla or opera.

External IP detection is not necessary for normal operation.

If you connect from within your LAN to the server use the LAN IP of the server. Only external users should use the external IP.
Do a search for "Port Forwarding" here in the forum to resolve the other issues.

    Thumbs up

    Thanks Dummer Sack.

Yes ZA was the problem. Cookies management has to be turned off completely to log in. I'll have to check if I can set the cookie to be saved from cache cleaning, atdmt.com seems to be the cookie I'm after.

I'll let you know if I can get ZA to offer the admin site some log in option control for cookies so I don't have to have them disable all the time.

    Thanks again Sack.

Yes you can set ZA to save the cookie mangament control you want for the admin log in screen.

Once you have logged in, you can set privacy options for site list
Set to allow 3th party cookies for
    www.teamspeak.org.
    and
    Loopback.

    Great program
    Great help.
