I can listen but not talk :-(
Hello all!
I seem to be having a problem with the TS on win2k v.20.32.60. It was workng great for a long time but now it just broke. I tested the mike on a different program and it worked fine.
When I go to test the mike on TS it doesn't register any speach when I have the 'voice activation level' slider half way as it was before. When I slide it to the whisper side, voice status changes to solid green but no one hears anything in the channel.
I am stumped, I have installed it many times before and didn't have a problem like this before...
I am using SB Live! and a medium quality mike :-)
Also I am R SA CA on the server.
I would appreciate some help!
Cheers!

Make sure that the mix is the only selected recording device in the windows mixer.
Use a higher input level for the mic in the windows mixer.
Also try if activating the mic boost in the windows mixer helps.
If you soundcard has a mixer program besides the windows mixer also check that everything is correct there.

Thanks for your help Dummer Sack, at this point I checked everything and believe that the mike might be bad. I'll get a new one and we'll see what happens.
Thanks.

You can try to record from the mic with the Windows Recorder. If that is working ok then the problem can be something else.

Yup, it was the mic. The problem is that it was working sporadically, but the problem is fixed.
Thanks much!
