Re: Sorry Bud! No Work!!
Are you on a shared server? You may not have privilages to run this if you are not a root user?Originally posted by hozer

Oh isn't the <500 Error> an FTP error?? You would need to run this from a shell I thought.Last edited by Randall_James; 28-12-2003 at 00:19.

lol, sorry man, I almost thought you were using ftp for shells...haha
Well hey, we all learn one way or another.
This program will let you login and run shell commands. You will probobly have to use SSH (on default port 22 as its set in there) to the server.
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/
You will need to get the connection info from your webhost, if its even allowed.

we are not missunderstanding each other ?
You can not start a programm via a FTP access. You need a shell access and the appropriate rights to run applications/servers
=> so a normal webspace is not enough to run a application (such as TS).

For the admin interface: http://ipofserver:14534/ (If you did not change the port in the server.ini file. If you did change it use the new port).
Initial usernames and passwords are in the server.log file after the first start of the server.
