Send a message via ICQ to Helox
user a telnet client, like telnet.exe in windows or something like putty.

connect to the server ip and the port listed in your SERVER.INI at
TCPQueryPort, ussually 51234.

so its like this: telnet your_ip 51234

you'll see the [TS] login where you can use these commands.

How would you gain access to these commands if Putty was being used. BTW, you people at TS are doing a great job. Absolutly the best communication program for games on the internet.

you need to login for major command with
slogin superadmin password

after that you can use SL to select a certain server.

On the Putty Program I am all thumbs... the only thing I know is how to sign into the server and go from directory to directory and executing the game server as well as TS. Could you please give me more explict instructions on how to sign into the TS server to set it up or gain access to register the people within our clan. All help is greatly appreciated and thanks again for all the hard work that is put into a fantastic program... for without TS we would still be typing/dieing with in our game.

This is the situation. Our TS server is located in another State and I gain access to it by using a program called Putty. Currently the TS program was set up by the Admin to our Game Server. on the old version of TS I could at least change the Server.ini to control some of the features by down/up loading it. Now I don't even see a line in the Server.ini that shows the number of users. So we forced to only a default of 7 users and I don't know how to gain access to control any features on TS. Please help me either use Putty or another recommended program to gain access to TS so I may set it up properly. Thank you for any help in this matter.

can access to this be prevented by a login/pw as well or is the only way to lock down this feature by firewalling the port and opening where necessary?

Putty is simple to use. Just select the telnet protocol, enter your servers IP, and the port 51234 as suggested elsewhere in this thread. You should then get a screen with a [TS] prompt at the top.

If that doesnt work, open a DOS box and type telnet xx.xx.xx.xx 51234 (where xx is your ip). If you still don't connect to a [TS] prompt, it's likely port 51234 is firewalled by your host and you need to arrange them to open it.

We discovered a much easier way to access TS that I didn't know about through http://000.000.000.000:14534/login.html We were able to access the admin page through a graphical interface. This made it much easier to set up everything that we needed. We were looking for something like this since TS was known to us. We can not believe that this was not talked about on the forums anywhere... at least not that we know of. All problems are now solved and TS is now forever part of our gaming experiance. Thank you to the whole team at TeamSpeak for a great program that changes the way games are heard.

uhm... this thing you just found is normally known as the web-interface *g*, but I'm surprised that you can access it with the adress 000.000.000.000, normal is http://localhost:14534 ...

...yes, it was not mentioned anywhere that I could find. Such an easy way to handle all the changes in TS. The '0" just represent the IP of the server. <g>
