Cannot bind space bar to talk

With TS1 I used the space bar in key activation to talk. TS2 won't allow me to bind this key or enter for that matter and just keeps asking me to assign a key.
I have key activation assigned to another key at the moment but in game I really need the space bar to speak or I'm gonna get real bad cramp ....lol

Anyone else having this problem.?

More importantly anyone know a way around it.????

The easy way around this is called Voice Activation )
But if you cannot use that I don't know a workaround at this point in time....

Problem solved. Go to control panel>keyboard> and set the key repeat rate to lowest. Then go back to TS2 set your bind there and return to keyboard settings and up the repeat rate again :P

Or lock the missus up in the bedroom or something.

The keyboard repeat delay didn't work for me. But, what did work is the following. Click Set, and when the window comes up to press a key, press (and hold) the spacebar. Then press the up arrow key, and release the spacebar. You will see that the "press a key" window comes up again as before. Press SPACE again, and then the selection will move to a button other than "set."

The problem is, Set is selected, and the space bar triggers it. So, you get stuck in a cycle of repeatedly selecting "set" when you press the spacebar.
