manual installing teamspeak on mandrake

umm i dont know who wrote the readme file for installing, but they need to make it to were some one can under stand what files to use to for installdir for a location, but heck a collage student couldn't understand this stuff. but how ever im on mandrake, but if i was on red and will be soon just playing with mandrake its a little differnet then red hat but ill live.
if some one cant tell me the step by step on what file im to do the changes would me really nice. this is what its says and has nothing to do with whats in here at all.

manual install:
copy the contents of setup.data/image to the directory where you want to
install ts2. Then edit the "teamspeak" script. replace %installdir% with
the directory where you installed teamspeak to. one theres about 2 diff teamspeak files ok 1 teamspeak file for shell IN set up / image folder now ok this is were i am at. 2 teamspeak bin file. and in installer is the product.config gzz is this the file i am to use to do this? hmm well some one want to answer this cool, but I have a connection who will. but just to let you know next program you do for linux do a step by step on how its to be done not some short sweet bleep bleep way of doning this. this is why windows microsoft is laughing at us as linux users now. ok we look like a bunch of morons to them, and if your a windows fan sorry about your luck I want my own freedom not bill gates way.
IF I HAVE TO FIX CRAP ON A OS IM GOING TO DO IT IN LINUX

Ummm... The installation instructions are quite easy to understand. I'm not a college student and understand them.
Maybe it's just a problem with your location.

installing teamspeak on mandrake

I think this didn't answer his question!
I 've got the same problem. I realy don't know how to go about the instalation procd.
and even don't understand the different filetypes on linux. So I'd find it very helpful if someone could post and ABC ala windum with screenshots instruction somewhere and show the link.
Ps 99% of all pc users don't want to study informatic or computerscience they want to use it.
a crossover IM voice messanger would make linux very competative. But only if the 99% can get it to work for them.
Thanks

###### How to install the TeamSpeak-Server in linux ######

This document describes in great detail each step required to get the
TeamSpeak server to run in linux. If you are a more advanced user you can
propably skip this, its for beginners (for advanced users just do: download,
extract, run).

### 1. Downloading the server ###

There are two possibilities: Either you download the server with some graphical
tool of your choice, and then copy it to some place on the harddrive of your
linux computer, or you try and download directly from the shell. There is a
useful tool called "wget" to do this. It works like this (this example uses
the currently newest server, just replace the URL with the link to the most
recent server file (as found on http://www.teamspeak.org) ).
wget ftp://webpost.teamspeak.org/releases..._20201.tar.bz2

### 2. Changing to the directory the server is in ###

Now, we have to be in the directory to which the server file was downloaded
too. If you just issued the wget command, then you are propably already there,
check if you see it via:
ls
If you cant see the server file, you will have to find out where you copied it
to, and change to that directory:
cd /you/should/know/where/you/put/it
If you entered the right path, "ls" should now show the file.

### 3. Unpacking the server ###

Unpacking is easy, simply issue (substitute the file name so it fits for your
serverfile):
tar -xvjf ts2_server_rc2_20201.tar.bz2

### 4. Changing into the newly created server directory ###

Now we want to change into the newly created directory, in which the programme
files are situated.
cd tss2_rc2

### 5. Starting the server, and stopping it again ###

To start the server you can now issue:
./teamspeak2-server_startscript start
If you wish to stop the server again run
./teamspeak2-server_startscript stop

### 6. Configuring the server ###

You might want to configure the newly installed server. There is a nice
webadmin interface for this, just open your favorite browser and type
"http://ts_server:14534" into the address field - of course you would have to
substitute "ts_server" with the "real" IP/Hostname.

### 7. More Questions? ###

Further questions are answered in the provided README file, that comes
with the server, if you are in the right directory (the tss2_rc2 in the
example), you can read it by issuing:
less README

You have a working TeamSpeak server. Have fun with it !

There, this is the INSTALL file with a thorough description of the steps necessary to download, unpack, install and start the server.
Please highlight the parts you don't understand and I will explain.
