Is the server already running?

Try a `ps -aux` and look for any instances of "server_linux".
(or: `ps -aux |grep server_linux` instead )

I like "ps afx" (note that no dash is needed before the options). This shows the list in "family" mode, so you can see the parent/child relationships as a branching tree.

The server isn't running yet. When I start it the first time, it gives me that error.

Same problem and a temporary solution

Have a problem close to yours.
If i start the server, nothing happens after some seconds the meassage about the demon pops up.

But the server runs (I control it with the portscan "ps").

From time to time errors like yours comes to the commandline.

If i try to reach it with the webinterfeace, 2 Runtimes errors comes and the Server dies...

My solution: I wrote a CHRON who checks the server. If not running: Start.
Execute every 10 secs
Works great if the clients (all Windows-Clients) hate Reconnect activated...

OH!!
I HAVE AN IDEA:
(I know... Every Linux-guru will beat me but hey... Im a linux-newbie!)
go to the TSS2-directory and make a chmod 777 *
Then start the server...
Maybe its only a access-problem to some files...

Please reply if it works.
(If yes: this is my frst solved Linux-Problem)
